Data protection

When you use this website and its features, we protect your personal data in conformity with this Data Protection Policy and with Swiss law.

SSL encryption

For security reasons, and in order to protect the transfer of confidential information that you send to us as the website operator, our website uses SSL and/or TLS encryption. This means that data that you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can tell that a connection is encrypted by the “https://” prefix in your browser’s address bar, as well as by the lock icon in your browser’s status bar.

Server log files

The provider of the website uses server log files to automatically collect and store information that your browser automatically transmits to us.

This includes:

  • Pages visited on our domain
  • Date and time of the server request
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system being used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • IP address

These data are not combined with other data sources.

Cookies

Cookies are utilised when our website is accessed. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit this website and that help us to analyse how users interact with our website. Most of the cookies we use are deleted when you end your browser session (“session cookies”). Some cookies are stored permanently and enable us to recognise you the next time you visit our website. This allows us to continuously improve our website. You can deactivate all or individual cookies at any time by adjusting your browser settings.

Subscribing to our newsletter

On our website, you have the ability to subscribe to our newsletter. In order to do so, registration is necessary. In connection with registration, the following data must be provided:

  • E-mail address

The foregoing data are necessary for data processing. In addition, you may voluntarily provide additional data (last name, first name, postal address). We process these data solely in order to inform you about our products and services, to personalise the information and offers that we send you and to tailor them better to your interests.

By registering, you grant us your consent to the processing of the provided data for sending regular newsletters to you at the address you provided and for the statistical analysis of user behaviour, as well as for optimising the newsletter. This consent constitutes the legal basis for the processing of your e-mail address within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are entitled to engage third parties for technical implementation of promotional activities and to disclose your data to them for this purpose.

At the end of each newsletter, you will find a link through which you can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time. When unsubscribing, you can voluntarily notify us of the reason for doing so. After unsubscribing, your personal data will be erased. They will continue to be processed only in anonymised form in order to optimise our newsletter.

When you make a restaurant reservation, we collect and process the following data:

  • First and last name

We will use these data and other information voluntarily provided by you (feature “Add note”) only for carrying out the contract, unless this Data Protection Policy specifies otherwise or you have not given your separate consent for this purpose. We will process the data particularly in order to record your booking in accordance with your wishes, to provide the booked services, to contact you in the event that something is unclear or problems arise, and to ensure correct payment.

The legal basis for data processing for this purpose is the performance of a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Google Analytics

Our website uses features of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. small text files that your web browser stores on your end device and that make it possible to analyse website use. Information about your use of our website that is generated by cookies is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. In most cases, the server is located in the USA.

The setting of Google Analytics cookies takes place on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our web offer and, where applicable, our advertising.

IP anonymisation

We use Google Analytics in conjunction with the IP anonymisation feature. This ensures that Google will shorten your IP address within the Member States of the European Union or in other Contracting States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA) before it is transmitted to the USA. In exceptional cases, Google may transfer the full IP address to a server in the USA and shorten it there. Google uses this information on our behalf in order to analyse your use of the website, to create reports about website activities, and to provide us with other services associated with website use and internet use. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics is not combined with other data of Google.
